Moinho do Enchao is an old water mill on the Ancora river, about 10 minutes drive from Vila Praia de Ancora, a small coastal town in the Minho

region of northern Portugal.

The bungalow, which sleeps four people, is situated at the end of the garden with complete privacy from the main house. The property is on one level with an open plan living area consisting of a large sitting room with wood burning stove, kitchen and dining area. There are 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.

There is a large swimming pool in the well established garden situated on the banks of the river and mill pond. The property is peaceful and secluded away from the main road and with private parking.

There are several beaches within 10 - 15 minutes drive from the house. Vila Praia de Ancora has a selection of shops and supermarkets with many bars and seafood restaurants situated along the seafront.

Each local town has an open air market on different days of the week. The National Park is within 2 hours drive and there are many interesting walks and places to visit nearby.

Rental of the bungalow includes :

- use of swimming pool

- electricity and gas

- fuel for wood burning stove

- bedlinen and bath towels

Directions :

The nearest airport is Oporto (78 kms) with Air Portugal and British Airways daily flights and Ryan Air. Car hire is recommended with more economical rates if booked from the UK. Local rental prices vary. The taxi fare from the airport is approximately £40 / 60 euros each way.

Travelling by car, there are ferries to Bilbao and Santander in northern Spain with excellent motorways all the way to the Portuguese border. The drive can be done in a day but it is more comfortable to spend a night en route.
